I think i might have malaria, fever and chills since two days, and im 16 weeks pregnant. someone at home mentioned this medicine name and now im worried whether its even okay in pregnancy. obviously i'll check with my gynac first but wanted to know if anyone here had malaria while expecting.
This is a malaria medicine na, please dont decide this on your own at all. Some malaria drugs are avoided in early pregnancy, some are used when needed. Only your doctor can weigh it for your stage and case. Go to them, dont self medicate.
Some antimalarials are given in pregnancy under supervision because untreated malaria is also risky. But which one and when really depends on your trimester. Please let a doctor prescribe, dont take leftover tablets.
