My gynac prescribed augmentin for a throat infection im having, im 16 weeks now. Took it once but then got scared reading random stuff online. Anyone else taken this during preg? Just want to know if its safe before i continue.
Antibiotics are not all bad in pregnancy, doctors do prescribe some when needed. Just dont pick it off the shelf yourself. Let her decide, thats her job.
My doctor did give me an antibiotic from this group when i had a throat infection, she said certain ones are considered okay in pregnancy. But she chose it, i didnt buy it myself. The dose and timing matters so let your doc prescribe.
When i had an infection my gynac was very careful about which antibiotic to give. Please dont take it without prescription, especially with a baby on board. Get it from your doctor only.
