Can baking soda be used in making food during pregnancy?
I usually add a pinch of baking soda while making some dishes at home. Now that im pregnant im not sure if its fine to continue. Is it okay or should i avoid?
Haan haan, absolutely you can use baking soda in food during pregnancy. We use such small amounts in baking or cooking, it's not really a concern. Just ensure it's food grade and used in typical quantities. Don't worry about this one.
I'm also trying to conceive, so I'm very careful about everything I eat. I think baking soda, like in cakes or dhokla, in small amounts should be fine? It's not something you consume a lot of. Maybe just try to keep it moderate.
At this point in my 3rd trimester, if baking soda means I get to eat a nice fluffy cake or soft dhokla, then yes, please! 😂 In normal cooking amounts, it's completely fine. Don't stress over tiny ingredients like that, focus on what tastes good and is safe overall.
Absolutely, you can use baking soda for cooking and baking! It's a common ingredient and in the small amounts used, it's considered safe during pregnancy. So go ahead and make those yummy cakes or dhoklas! 😊
Oh my god, yes, otherwise how will your dhokla or cake rise? 😂 It's totally fine to use baking soda in normal cooking quantities. It's just a leavening agent, not something you're eating by the spoonful. Go ahead and bake!
I felt so overwhelmed with all the food rules during my first pregnancy. My MIL used baking soda in our ghar ka dhokla and idli, and I was a bit worried initially, but the doctor said it's totally okay in small cooking amounts. My baby is perfectly healthy now, so I think it's fine.
