I used to do yoga before and balasana was my fav for relaxing my kamar. Now im 20 weeks and not sure if its safe with the growing pet. Anyone continued this pose during pregnancy?
You can absolutely do it, but modify it by keeping your knees wide to give your tummy enough space. I used to do it during my pregnancy to relieve back tension, just do it gently.
With my twin belly, normal balasana was impossible! Keeping knees wide was the only way I could do it without rolling over like a ball. Give your belly plenty of room!
It is a lovely, gentle pose to connect with your body. Just modify it to be safe for your little miracle, and always check with your yoga instructor or doctor first.
Oh absolutely, it's amazing for back pain! Just don't stress too much about getting the perfect pose, keep your knees wide and relax. You'll love the stretch!
Actually, my doctor said balasana is excellent for opening the hips, but only if you keep your knees wide apart. Do not do it if you have high blood pressure or if your doctor has advised bed rest.
No need for fancy yoga classes, you can easily do wide-knee balasana on a simple bedsheet on the floor. It really helps with body stiffness, just do it slowly.
