I eat a banana almost every morning but my mom follows ayurveda and said its not good during pregnancy. Now im not sure what to believe. anyone here who knows what ayurveda says about it?
Banana is a good easy snack, full of potassium and helps with energy and cramps. Ayurveda mostly just says have it ripe and in moderation. I ate one most days, no problem. If you have specific dosha concerns, ask an ayurveda doctor.
We eat banana freely at home and my amma always said its grounding and good. In ayurveda they just suggest having it in moderation and when ripe. I trusted both family wisdom and my gynac, and she had no issue with it.
I had banana but kept an eye on quantity because of my sugar tendency from PCOS. Ayurveda wise its considered fine when ripe. If you have any sugar concern, just check the amount with your doctor to be safe.
Beta in our tradition banana is considered good for energy and is generally fine. Some elders say avoid it at night or if you have cold or cough, but a ripe banana in the day is usually okay. If you follow ayurveda strictly, do ask your vaid as well.
