Doc started me on duphaston in early weeks and now im almost 14 weeks. I keep wondering till when i have to continue and can it be stopped at some point. Will ask on my next visit but wanted to know how it was for others.
I've been reading about how Duphaston helps with progesterone support when we are trying to conceive and in early pregnancy. It is a very important hormone pill, so please don't stop it without consulting your gynecologist first.
I recently delivered and was taking Duphaston till my 14th week because of early spotting. My gynecologist gradually tapered the dose before stopping it completely. Never stop this medicine suddenly without your doctor's exact instructions.
Duphaston is a hormonal supplement and stopping it abruptly can be very risky for the pregnancy. The duration depends entirely on your medical history and clinical reports, so only your gynecologist can decide when it's safe to stop it.
I am currently in my 5th month and my doctor has also put me on Duphaston for support. Please don't stop it on your own at all, as it supports the pregnancy. Did your doctor suggest stopping it or are you having any side effects?
Please never stop Duphaston on your own! It is prescribed to prevent miscarriage and support the baby's growth. Stopping it suddenly can cause hormonal drops and spotting, so only stop it when your doctor explicitly tells you to do so.
