Can breast feeding mothers take saffron in pregnancy?
My elder one is still nursing and now I just found out im expecting again. Everyone keeps telling me to start kesar milk for the baby but im confused since im also feeding. Is it safe in this situation?
A small pinch is generally considered fine, but moderation is the key, not big quantities. Since you are breastfeeding, it is best to confirm with your doctor what amount is okay for you. Better to ask than guess.
Beta a tiny pinch of saffron in milk is what we traditionally use, just a little is enough. It is not something to take in large amounts. For your specific situation while nursing, do check with your doctor to be safe.
In our family saffron milk was given in small amounts, more for warmth and comfort. A few strands is all anyone used. I always ran these things by my doctor though, especially while feeding.
