Feeling little awkward typing this but its been on my mind. Im 16 weeks and my husband asked, i wasnt sure if its safe to do during pregnancy or if it causes any contractions or anything. Just want to know if its fine.
Early on its generally not an issue, but as you near the later months nipple stimulation can cause the uterus to tighten. If your pregnancy is healthy and not high risk its usually okay in moderation. When unsure, just ask your doctor about your stage.
For most normal pregnancies gentle intimacy is fine, but nipple stimulation can sometimes trigger contractions later in pregnancy. So in the third trimester or if you have any risk of preterm labour, its best to be cautious. A quick check with your gynac clears the doubt.
