Can cervix length increase during pregnancy by bedrest and progesterone?
Doc has put me on bedrest and progesterone because of short cervix and now im just hoping it actually helps the length. Im 24 weeks and a little scared honestly. Did this work for anyone here, pls share.
With twins, my cervix was under a lot of pressure, so progesterone was my best friend. It doesn't miraculously double in length, but it holds everything together. Just lie down, let your family pamper you, and follow the doc!
Honestly, bedrest sounds like luxury but it's so boring, lol! But progesterone and resting definitely help keep that cervix stable. It's the only way to avoid early labor, so grab your remote and stay in bed!
Bedrest and progesterone don't necessarily make the cervix grow longer, but they definitely help prevent it from shortening further. It's a very standard and effective treatment. Just follow your doctor's advice strictly and don't skip your meds.
I literally just delivered last month and had the same issue. My cervix length stayed stable because of progesterone and strict bedrest. It didn't increase much, but it kept my baby safe inside until full term. Trust the process!
Please don't rely on internet stories for cervix length, as it is a critical factor in preterm labor. Progesterone and bedrest are highly recommended by gynacs to manage this. Keep getting your regular scans done to monitor it safely.
