Read something about cervix length and dilation and now im a little confused. Like does it stay closed the whole time or can it open early and then close again? 22 weeks now and just trying to understand how it actually works.
This is something only ur doctor can check properly with a scan. I had a weak cervix issue and they kept monitoring it. Pls dont rely on guesses, get it checked.
My gynac explained the cervix stays closed mostly and starts changing near delivery time. In some cases it can open early which they watch for. She did a scan to measure length, so best to ask urs to check.
I understand the worry, I have been there. After my loss they checked my cervix closely every visit. Please share ur concern with doctor directly, they will guide u properly.
It does change through pregnancy, thats normal. But if u r worried about it opening early, only a doctor can tell with internal check ya scan. Dont self diagnose.
