We are trying since last month and im too impatient to wait for my period date. Its been 12 days now and i keep wanting to take a test. Will it even show correctly this early or am i just wasting strips?
12 days might be a bit early for some, you could get a false negative. Its better to wait till your missed period for accuracy. If you test now and its negative, retest after the period is due.
My doctor said home tests are most reliable from the missed period onwards, and 12 days post intercourse can sometimes be too soon. A blood test could detect it a little earlier if you cant wait. Otherwise just give it a few more days.
I tested at like 11 days once and the negative just sent me into a worry spiral, then it turned positive later. Honestly waiting is hard but it saves the heartache. Try to hold off till the missed period.
