Ragi is generally healthy and I ate it, but I had GD so I watched my portions. It is better than refined flour for sure. If your sugar is fine you can enjoy it normally, just dont overdo any one thing.
Ragi is one of the best grains for pregnancy, lots of moms here ate it. Keep variety though, dont eat only ragi every meal. Mix it with your dal, rice, veggies for proper balance.
Ragi is cheap and filling, good for daily meals honestly. I used to make ragi malt in morning, kept me full and saved on fancy supplements. Simple home food works.
Haan ragi is very good actually, full of calcium and iron. In our home we made ragi kanji and ragi dosa through whole pregnancy. My doctor was happy I was eating it, just keep it balanced.
