Can constipation cause lower abdomen pain in 18weeks of pregnancy?
Im 18 weeks and having this dull pain in lower abdomen. My constipation is also really bad these days so wondering if both are connected. Thoda tension ho raha hai, planning to tell my gynac. anyone else felt this?
Actually, constipation can cause quite a bit of lower stomach pain because everything is already so crowded in there. I had a similar scare before my C-section, but my gynac checked and gave me some safe syrup. Just consult your doctor once to be completely sure.
Yes, constipation can cause a lot of dull pain in the lower abdomen due to gas and pressure. But since abdominal pain can sometimes mean other things, I suggest a regular follow-up with your doctor to explain this. Please don't ignore it and get a safe solution.
I had terrible lower belly pain at 18 weeks, and my hospital staff confirmed it was just severe constipation and stretching. But they strictly told me to never ignore abdominal pain and to ask the doctor clearly. Please call your gynac's team to get a safe stool softener.
Honestly, please do not ignore any lower abdomen pain at 18 weeks. While constipation does cause cramping, any abdominal pain needs to be checked by your doctor immediately to make sure your cervix and baby are perfectly safe. Please call your gynac right away.
I've been reading up a lot on pregnancy symptoms while planning, and yes, severe constipation can definitely cause cramping and lower abdomen discomfort. However, since you are 18 weeks, it's always safer to ask your gynac to rule out other issues. Hope you get relief soon!
