Can dependent pregnancy can travel with his husband wp?
My husband is abroad on work permit and im on dependent visa, abhi 4 months pregnant. Just wanted to know if i can still travel n join him in this condition. Anyone done this before pls share.
It is wonderful that you want to be with your husband during this beautiful time. Just be very gentle with your body and make sure your doctor gives a green light for travel, especially if it's a long flight. Sending you so much love and prayers for a smooth journey ahead.
You can definitely go, just get a 'fit to fly' certificate from your doctor first as airlines ask for it. Also, choose a direct flight even if it costs a bit more to avoid long layovers. Once you reach there, register with a local doctor immediately so you don't miss any monthly scans.
Yes you can travel, but honestly, traveling during pregnancy has its own challenges like sitting in one place for long hours. I traveled in my second trimester and kept taking small walks on the flight and drank lots of water. Make sure to keep all your pregnancy files and a comfortable pillow with you.
If you are planning this, please check the insurance coverage in that country first because maternity costs abroad are insanely high. Some insurance policies have a waiting period for pregnancy, so you might end up paying lakhs for delivery and basic scans out of pocket. Make a proper budget before booking tickets.
Before making any travel plans or booking tickets, please discuss this thoroughly with your gynac. Every pregnancy is different, and only your doctor can tell if it's safe for you to travel long distance. Don't take any risks without their proper written permission.
It's totally doable but you need to plan the timing strictly. Try to travel during your second trimester because that's when nausea settles down and you have more energy. Also, check the visa processing times beforehand so you don't get stuck traveling in your late third trimester when airlines don't allow it.
Oh god, travelling while pregnant sounds so stressful, I would be constantly worrying about the food, the flight turbulence, and finding a good hospital there! Make sure you carry all your current medicines in your cabin bag and keep emergency numbers handy. I really hope everything goes smoothly for you guys.
