Can diuretics be used in treatment of pregnancy induced hypertension?
My BP went up a bit at my last checkup and the doc is monitoring it closely. I just read something about diuretics and got curious whether they are even given in pregnancy. Anyone with experience here?
Whoa, let's leave the heavy medical terms to the folks in white coats! Seriously, never play doctor with blood pressure meds in pregnancy. Give your gynac a call right away and let them prescribe the safe stuff while you relax and put your feet up!
From what I know, doctors are extremely cautious about prescribing diuretics during pregnancy because they can affect the baby's blood supply. I had blood pressure worries due to PCOS, and my doctor managed it with very specific pregnancy-safe medicines. Please consult your gynac immediately for the right treatment.
I am still learning about these things, but I think any strong medicine during pregnancy should only be taken if the doctor advises it. Pregnancy-induced hypertension sounds quite serious, so please consult your gynecologist to be absolutely safe. Take care of yourself.
I was reading about high blood pressure in pregnancy since we are planning, and I think general BP medicines like diuretics are usually avoided because they can reduce amniotic fluid. It's such a complex medical topic, so it's definitely best to let your doctor decide what is safe for you.
I prefer natural ways to keep my fitness up, like doctor-approved walking, rather than relying on heavy medications. Diuretics can alter your fluid levels drastically, which is not safe for the baby. Please speak to your doctor about safe medical treatments and lifestyle adjustments instead.
My heart goes out to you because dealing with high blood pressure during pregnancy is so emotionally draining and scary. Please do not try any diuretics or medicines on your own, as they can directly impact the baby. Just trust your gynecologist completely, they will prescribe exactly what you need to stay safe.
Oh, please do not take any such medicines without asking your doctor first, it can be very risky! Pregnancy induced hypertension is something you have to be so careful about. I would be too scared to even touch a pill unless my gynecologist wrote it down on my prescription.
