Can domperidone be given in first trimester of pregnancy?
Vomiting bohot ho rahi hai and someone at home had domperidone lying around. Im only 7 weeks so dont want to take anything without knowing. Is it safe in early pregnancy or should i ask my gynac first?
Actually, taking any random medicine in the first trimester is a big no-no, yaar. You have to ask your doctor before taking domperidone because they usually prefer safer alternatives for morning sickness. Just ping your doc, they will write the right prescription.
Honestly, I've been living on nausea meds, but please don't take anything without asking your gynac first. The first trimester is too sensitive to play guess-the-pill. My doc gave me a specific safe tablet, so just call your clinic and ask.
I am in my 9th week now and dealing with heavy nausea, so I feel you! My doctor specifically told me not to take any old over-the-counter stomach meds without her approval. Did your gynac prescribe this to you, or were you just checking?
Between changing diapers and not sleeping, I still remember my first trimester puking days. But seriously, don't self-medicate with domperidone. Call your gynac; they have better, safer magic pills for this, otherwise home remedies are always there!
I know how terrible first trimester nausea can be, you just want some relief. But please, please check with your doctor before taking domperidone. It's so important to protect that little miracle inside you, let the professional decide what's safe.
Whenever I felt sick, my MIL would tell me to smell ginger or lemon instead of popping pills, which actually helped thoda. For medicine like domperidone, definitely ask your doctor first. Don't take it on your own because some drugs aren't recommended early on.
