Can drink dry fruit shake during 3 week pregnancy?
Just found out im pregnant, barely 3 weeks. My mummy is already after me to drink badam pista shake daily for strength. Is it safe this early or thoda too soon? wanted to check before starting.
Don't panic! I drank a huge glass of dry fruit shake early on and then got so scared after reading that dry fruits cause body heat. But actually nothing happened, my doctor told me a moderate amount of soaked dry fruits is perfectly fine.
Beta, in early weeks, avoid giving too much heat to the body. If you want to make a shake, soak almonds and walnuts overnight, peel them, and then blend with milk. Avoid warm things like saffron or excessive dates for now.
I used to have dry fruit shakes but kept the quantity of dry fruits very low in the first trimester. Your body is undergoing a lot of changes right now. Just keep it light so you don't get indigestion.
Oh, 3 weeks is so early and I would literally overthink every single ingredient in my kitchen! A heavy shake might cause acidity or bloating. Maybe just check with your doctor once about which dry fruits are safe to use right now.
I totally understand why you are worried about every small drink and food item at 3 weeks. You can have it, but just don't put too many hot-nature dry fruits like unsoaked almonds or figs. It's better to be safe and feel calm.
At 3 weeks, things are so delicate. Dry fruits are warm in nature, so I was advised to soak them overnight and have them in limited quantities rather than drinking a heavy shake. Wishing you a very gentle and safe pregnancy.
I recently delivered and during my first few weeks, I had mild shakes but always soaked the dry fruits first. It gives good energy, especially when you start feeling tired. Just don't overdo the quantity.
