Constipation is bohot bad these days, like 3-4 din ho gaye. I had this medicine at home from before pregnancy. Not taking anything without asking gynac, just wanted to know if others were told its ok or no.
Honestly I am also facing terrible constipation in my 5th month now but I am too scared to take any over the counter pills. Is anyone else also struggling with this? My gynac suggested fiber but it is so slow.
My stomach is already a war zone right now and taking random laxatives is a big no. Better to ask your doc than risk spending the whole night in the washroom with cramps! Let's stick to safe options.
Arre, don't take dulcolax on your own, dear. Constipation is very common but these tablets can sometimes cause sudden cramping. Drink warm water and check with your doc once for a safe syrup.
Actually my doctor told me that Dulcolax isn't the first choice in pregnancy because it can stimulate bowel movements too strongly. They usually prescribe safer stool softeners if diet and hydration don't work, so definitely get a prescription.
Please do not take any laxative without asking your gynac first. I had some severe cramping issues in my earlier pregnancy because of self-medicating, so please check with your doctor first.
