Can duphaston tablet stop period before pregnancy?
My gynac gave me duphaston this month and my period hasnt come yet. Im a little confused whether its because of the tablet or could be something else. Did this happen with anyone else?
Ugh, these hormone pills are something else, they completely change our cycle rules! Yes, it can stop the period for a bit, but honestly, I'm in my third trimester now and I would happily trade my back pain for those pill-planning days haha. Hang in there!
I am also trying to conceive and was wondering about this same thing. It is so confusing when our cycles get delayed because of medicines. Let us know what your doctor says if you call them!
Listen, don't worry about this too much. Duphaston is very commonly given to support the cycle or early pregnancy, and yes, it can delay your period. Just take it exactly as your doctor told you and don't Google too much, okay?
Duphaston is actually progesterone yaar, so as long as you are taking it, it keeps the lining intact and delays the period. Once you stop it, only then withdrawal bleeding starts in a few days. Best is to ask your gynac why they prescribed it.
I completely understand how overwhelming all these hormonal changes and medicines can feel. Yes, it can stop your period from coming while you are on it. Sending you lots of strength, dear, everything will work out fine.
Oh god, I remember being so worried about this too, my mind was racing with twenty different thoughts! Yes, it can definitely delay your period because of the hormones, but please don't stress. Just double check with your doctor once to be completely sure and calm your mind.
