Can early pregnancy be deducted in usg ehole abdomen?
My period is late and i had a whole abdomen usg done for some other stomach issue. Now im wondering if a very early pregnancy would even show up in that kind of scan? bit confused, anyone know?
It can show up sometimes but it isnt the ideal scan for early confirmation. Honestly the best thing is to do a blood test and then the scan your doctor recommends. Dont rely only on a whole abdomen usg for this.
My doctor explained that a whole abdomen scan can sometimes pick up a pregnancy, but for early weeks a proper pelvic or transvaginal scan is much clearer. If you specifically want to confirm early pregnancy, ask for the right scan. Better to check with your gynac on which one.
Please dont go by a general abdomen scan alone in early weeks. In my case they needed a focused scan to rule out things. Just see your gynac and let her decide the right test, it matters early on.
