Im about 6 weeks and feeling some burning and discomfort down there. Dont know if its connected to pregnancy or something separate. Will check with my doctor but wanted to hear if others had this early on.
My doctor explained that pregnancy itself doesnt cause infection, but the changes in immunity and hormones can make some women more prone to things like UTI or yeast infections early on. She told me to report any burning urine or unusual discharge immediately rather than ignore it.
I used to worry about every little thing too. From what I understood, you can get common infections like UTI more easily in pregnancy, but they are treatable. If you have symptoms just get checked, dont sit and google like I did, it only scares more.
Stay clean and hydrated and you usually avoid most problems. But yes the body is a bit more sensitive these months. If something feels wrong like burning or discharge, your gynac is the right person to see, dont delay.
Pregnancy doesnt directly cause infection but it lowers your resistance a bit so UTIs are common. Drink plenty of water, keep good hygiene. Any burning or fever, straight to the doctor, they will sort it with safe meds.
I got a UTI in my early weeks and it needed treatment quickly because infections in pregnancy shouldnt be left alone. So if you feel burning while peeing, fever or odd discharge, please dont self treat, go to your gynac. They will give safe medicine.
