My hb came a little low in the last report so mom is telling me to eat beetroot daily for iron. Just wanted to confirm its safe in pregnancy before i start. Anyone been told same?
I totally understand wanting to eat the safest things for your precious baby. Beetroot is wonderful and full of iron, so please enjoy it. It always made me feel so happy knowing I was nourishing my little one.
Beta, beetroot is very good for purifying blood. Boil it and eat it with a little lemon juice and black salt, it tastes good and helps with morning sickness too.
My MIL insisted I eat beetroot halwa or salad every week to avoid anemia. It actually worked and my doctor was happy with my reports. Just ensure it is cleaned properly.
Yes, beetroot is completely safe and actually very good for your blood count. Just don't get scared if your urine looks a bit pinkish afterwards, it is totally normal. Take care and eat well.
Hi there! Beetroot is very safe and highly recommended because of its iron and folic acid content. Just wash it thoroughly before eating it raw, or cook it properly in a sabzi.
You can definitely eat it. I ate a lot of beetroot during my pregnancy and even now while breastfeeding, it's great for nutrition. Just moderate the quantity like with any food.
