I love black grapes, and they are in season right now. I am pregnant, and I want to know if it's safe for me to eat them. Are black grapes good for pregnancy, or should I avoid them?
Actually even I was reading about this recently while planning. Some people say black grapes are bad because of heat but others say they have good antioxidants. I guess having a small portion occasionally should be totally fine, right? What does your doc say?
With my PCOS history, I had to be super cautious about sugar intake during pregnancy. Grapes are high in natural sugar so I only ate like 4-5 pieces occasionally. Better to avoid overeating and check with your doc if you have insulin issues.
Ghar pe custom is to eat everything in moderation, so don't stress too much. Just soak them in salt water for 15 mins to clean properly and have a small cup. No need to buy expensive exotic fruits when local seasonal ones are perfectly fine and safe.
I used to eat them occasionally but since I had thyroid issues my gynac had set a strict diet chart. Fruits are great but sugar levels can spike. It's always best to ask your doctor in your regular checkup how much fruits are safe for you.
Oh god, I had the same doubt and honestly searched online for hours because of the heat factor. Black grapes are fine but don't eat too many at once, especially in the first trimester. Just wash them properly to get rid of pesticides and maybe ask your gynac once to be absolutely safe.
