My saas keeps adding ajwain in everything and says it helps digestion during pregnancy. Im 5 months now and gas is a real problem. But is daily ajwain actually safe na or just a totka?
I recently delivered and trust me, digestion gets so messed up in pregnancy. I used to add a little ajwain to my daily khichdi and it was a savior. Just don't overdo it, a tiny bit is more than enough.
If you have bad gas or bloating, chewing a tiny pinch of ajwain with warm water really helps. No need to buy expensive syrups. Just don't eat spoonfuls of it because it's considered 'garam' for the body.
I had ajwain parathas throughout my pregnancy and had a very healthy normal delivery. It really helped with my pregnancy acidity. Just eat everything in moderation!
Beta, a pinch of carom seeds in your food is absolutely safe, so don't worry. Our mothers have been using it for generations. Just avoid consuming it in large quantities as raw seeds.
Ajwain is great for mild stomach ache or gas during pregnancy. But if you are experiencing severe abdominal pain or any spotting, please don't try home remedies. Call your doctor immediately.
Yes, you can eat ajwain but keep it in limit. A little bit in your parathas or tadka is perfectly fine and actually good for digestion. Don't go drinking heavy ajwain ka paani daily though.
