My MIL made this leafy sabzi yesterday and i ate without thinking, ab thoda doubt ho raha hai. We get it a lot here in season. Anyone knows if its fine during these months?
I had quite a few issues during my pregnancy, so I became very careful. Some wild greens can sometimes cause stomach upset or digestive issues. Please ask your gynac first before trying new leafy vegetables.
I am also planning to conceive soon and my MIL told me to eat fresh green leafy vegetables daily. This one is quite healthy from what I heard, but maybe eat in a very small quantity first? Hope everything goes well for u.
Oh god, even I used to worry about every single green, thinking what if it has bacteria or bugs! If you are eating it, just wash it in warm water with salt at least 3-4 times. Or better to avoid if u are feeling too anxious about it.
According to my pregnancy tracker, green leafy veggies are super rich in folate which is amazing for the baby. Ganga valli is totally safe if washed well and cooked. I tracked my daily iron intake on my app and greens really helped!
Leafy greens are excellent for blood sugar, and ganga valli has a very low glycemic index. Just make sure you don't cook it with too much oil or heavy potatoes. Talk to your dietitian once if u have any sugar concerns.
Ganga valli leafy veggie is actually full of omega-3 and vitamins, so it is quite good. Just clean the leaves very thoroughly to get all the dirt out. Cook it properly with dal, and don't eat it raw in salads just to be safe.
