My MIL made til ke laddu and gave me a few, but then my cousin said avoid til in pregnancy na it can cause heat. Im 5 months now and confused. Anyone had sesame during pregnancy?
Oh even I was wondering about this! My MIL told me sesame seeds can cause heat in the body so I've been avoiding them. Have you guys been eating them since the first trimester or only later?
To be honest, it is totally fine in moderation. I had sesame chikki and til laddoos during my second trimester and my gynac said it's completely safe. Don't go overboard, but there's no need to stress about small amounts.
Ghar pe simple roasted til rakh lo and occasionally take a pinch or put it in tadka. No need to buy expensive supplements for calcium when sesame seeds have so much of it. Just keep it limited, especially in the first trimester.
I am currently trying to conceive and was reading about healthy foods. I heard sesame is very warm for the body so is it safe to eat during the luteal phase or early weeks? Please guide me gently.
I totally get why you're scared, I used to double check every single seed and spice before eating. But honestly, sesame seeds are safe unless eaten in huge, crazy quantities. Take a deep breath, you and baby are fine.
Humare yahan toh bolte hain ki thoda bahut til khane se baby ko calcium milta hai. Bas shuru ke teen mahine thoda dhyan rakhna, uske baad thoda til ke laddoo kha sakte ho, koi dikkat nahi hoti.
With two babies kicking inside me, I needed all the calcium I could get, so til was my best friend. Just don't eat entire boxes of til laddoos in one sitting, otherwise your stomach will be crying! Keep it balanced.
