Can ectopic pregnancy be detected using external sonography?
My gynac mentioned ectopic possibility and now im a little tensed. I have a scan coming up. Can the normal external sonography catch this or do they need something else? trying to understand before i go.
Beta, these things are very technical and home tips won't work here. If you have any pain or doubt, go to a big hospital and let them do the proper ultrasound scan they recommend.
I panicked when my doctor insisted on a transvaginal scan instead of external, thinking something is wrong. But they explained it's completely normal to do TVS early on to rule out ectopic pregnancy. It's totally safe, so don't worry!
Usually, doctors do an internal scan (TVS) early on because external sonography might not show clearly. I had to pause my yoga routines until they confirmed the pregnancy was in the right place through TVS.
Haan na, early on external scan me clear nahi dikhta. Doctors usually TVS (internal scan) hi karte hain ectopic check karne ke liye. Don't worry, it's very routine.
For early detection of ectopic, doctors prefer an internal scan as it gives a much clearer picture than abdominal. Just trust your doctor's choice of scan for a safe start.
I totally understand how scary the word 'ectopic' sounds and how worried you must be. Please go for the internal scan if your doctor recommends it, it's the safest way to ensure you and baby are okay.
Haha, our tiny beans are so small early on that external scan is like looking for a needle in a haystack! That's why doctors go for TVS to make sure everything is in place.
When I had my first scan, I felt so nervous when they suggested an internal one instead of external. But I felt so relieved when they explained it was just to clearly see the sac position. It's really for safety.
Don't avoid the TVS scan just because it might cost a bit more than external scan. Getting an accurate early scan is very important to avoid emergency costs later if it's ectopic.
