Can ectopic pregnancy occur if you are not having periods?
My periods are irregular and now I have one-sided pain with a faint positive test. I am worried after reading about ectopic and will contact my gynac, but I wanted to ask if anyone had irregular cycles and this fear.
Absolutely it can. The absence of periods doesnt rule it out at all. Best thing is a test and an early ultrasound through your gynac to check the location. If theres pain, go in fast.
Yes. No periods often means you are pregnant, and an ectopic also stops periods. If pregnancy test is positive but you have pain or spotting, get a scan to confirm where it is. Dont delay this one.
My doctor explained ectopic means the pregnancy implants outside the uterus, and yes periods stop just like a normal pregnancy. The warning signs are sharp lower belly pain, shoulder tip pain and bleeding. It needs immediate medical care.
Yes it can. Missing periods can itself be an early sign of pregnancy, and an ectopic still has the missed period. If you have one sided pain, spotting or dizziness please see a doctor urgently, ectopic is serious.
I went through something similar and it scared me a lot. Yes, you can stop getting periods and still have an ectopic. Please dont wait if you feel strong pain or bleeding, get a scan done soon. Sending you strength.
