My last scan showed it might be ectopic and im honestly so scared. Doc has called me back this week but in the meantime i keep wondering if it can sometimes resolve on its own without surgery? Anyone been through this pls share.
Please dont wait on this one. Sometimes a very early ectopic can resolve on its own but it can also turn dangerous fast. My cousin had ectopic and her doc monitored beta hcg every few days. Pls go to your gynac and let them decide, this is not something to manage at home.
Look ectopic is not a guessing game. Some do resolve but you only know after the doctor tracks your hcg coming down. Book the appointment, do the scan, dont try to wait it out at home.
Honestly the safest answer is only your gynac can tell you. There are cases where it resolves but there are also cases that need quick treatment. Don't go by what you read online including this comment, get a scan and hcg done.
I know this is scary to read about. The honest answer is sometimes the body does deal with it on its own, but it really needs a doctor watching closely. Don't carry this stress alone na, go get checked and they will guide you step by step.
My doctor explained that yes, in some cases the body can reabsorb a tubal pregnancy by itself, they call it tubal abortion or spontaneous resolution. But she said it has to be watched with blood tests and scans because you cant tell from outside. Whatever you do dont assume it cleared on its own without confirming with your gynac.
Sending you a lot of love, ectopic is so hard emotionally and physically. With me the doctor kept a very close eye and yes some can settle without surgery. But please please dont rely on it terminating itself, if you have any pain on one side or bleeding go in immediately.
