I love my lavender and other oils for relaxing but ever since i got pregnant im scared even smelling them is not ok. Im 11 weeks. Anyone used essential oils during pregnancy, is just smelling them fine?
Honestly, I used to diffuse lavender sometimes for sleep, very lightly and in an open room. My doctor said smelling is usually okay as long as it's not overpowering and you're well-ventilated. But for sure, never put it directly on your skin or swallow it without consulting.
Hey girl, honestly, don't stress too much about just smelling them. As long as you're not inhaling it deeply for hours or applying it to your body, a quick whiff from a distance usually isn't an issue. Just make sure it's not making you nauseous or dizzy, okay?
I prefer natural ways to relax, like a good walk or some prenatal yoga, which my doctor approved. For essential oils, I'd say light smelling might be okay, but consult your doctor first if you plan to use them regularly, especially if diffusing them in your space.
Hmm, generally a mild sniff or diffusing lightly in an open space is considered okay! But definitely avoid applying to skin or taking them internally without your doc's okay! Some smells can be too strong too. 😉 Be safe and listen to your body!
Haha, I remember wanting to smell everything nice during pregnancy, even my hubby's aftershave sometimes! Essential oils are mostly fine to smell lightly, but if it makes you feel dizzy or sick, drop it like it's hot! Your nose knows what's up.
I also used to love my diffuser! My gynac told me to be super careful. She said some oils like peppermint or rosemary are big no-nos even for smelling strongly. Better to stick to really mild ones like lavender (diluted) and always ask your doc first.
With pregnancy, your body changes so much, sometimes even smells affect you differently. If you want to use essential oils, I'd say check with your doctor, especially if you have any existing conditions like thyroid. Better to be safe and discuss it.
Dekho, smelling them lightly, like from a diffuser in a well-ventilated room, is generally considered okay. But you should never apply essential oils directly to your skin or ingest them without consulting your doctor. Some can be quite potent, so be careful.
