I found an old kit in my drawer and used it, came negative but im still feeling all the symptoms. Then i noticed the expiry was last year. Now im doubting the result completely, has this happened to anyone?
Oh this happened to me, I used an old kit from the drawer, got negative, then a fresh one showed positive. So yes, expired ones can mislead. Buy a new one and dont trust the old result.
Yes an expired kit can give a wrong result, the chemicals lose their reliability. Always check the expiry on the box before using na. If yours was expired, get a fresh one and retest with morning urine.
It can, the reagent degrades after expiry so the result isnt trustworthy. Always glance at the date before testing. When in doubt, fresh kit or a blood test settles it.
