My back tooth is paining bohot since last week and dentist is saying it might need extraction. Im 5 months along and a little scared if it's safe to do right now. Did anyone get a tooth pulled while pregnant?
Arre tension mat lo, tooth extraction ho sakta hai but with proper precautions. Just tell your dentist how many weeks pregnant you are, na. They know what meds are safe and what's not, but gynac se ek baar pooch lena best rahega.
Having had PCOS, I was extra careful about every small procedure. Dental issues can actually cause infections, so don't ignore the pain, but please get a written clearance from your gynac before the dentist does any extraction.
Yes it can be done, but usually dentists prefer doing it in the second trimester if it's an emergency! Just make sure they don't do any X-rays without a protective lead apron. Stay strong, dental pain is the worst! 🦷
I felt so miserable when my wisdom tooth started aching in my second trimester, I literally cried. But my gynac worked with my dentist to do it safely under mild local anesthesia. Just share your pregnancy status with the dentist first, it will be fine.
For temporary relief u can try warm water salt rinses or pressing a clove near the tooth, it helps thoda. But for a proper extraction, you absolutely must consult your gynac first. Don't take any painkiller on your own.
I would highly advise against taking any decision without asking your gynecologist first. Even local anesthesia and pain meds after extraction need to be pregnancy-safe. Let your doctor coordinate with your dentist.
