I usually add methi to my dal and sometimes have methi water for digestion. Im in my early weeks now and someone mentioned methi isnt great this early. Wanted to check before i continue, anyone know?
Funny thing, methi is actually recommended later for milk supply after delivery. But in early pregnancy I'd keep it to small cooking amounts and check with your doc before any supplement form. Hormones are sensitive early on.
I used to take methi water for my PCOS before, but during pregnancy I stopped the strong doses and just asked my doctor first. The normal spice quantity in food is fine. The concentrated stuff, please confirm with gynac.
A pinch of methi as a normal spice in cooking is fine, but please dont take fenugreek seeds or supplements in big amounts during early pregnancy. I'd really check with your gynac before any concentrated methi water. Better safe.
As a cooking spice in your sabzi or dal, totally normal, no issue. But methi in large medicinal doses or methi water everyday, that I'd avoid early on without asking the doctor. Small kitchen amounts are okay.
