I have a small fibroid that was found before i conceived and now im pregnant. My gynac mentioned it casually but i didnt ask much. Do they actually shrink on their own during this time or get bigger? Bit tense about it.
My mother reassured me that these things are very common and often resolve on their own. But I always believe in trusting the doctor completely, so please ensure you get regular ultrasounds to track its size.
I know exactly how scary it feels when you hear about fibroids while you're pregnant, and it's totally okay to feel anxious. In some cases, they actually do shrink or at least don't grow much, but the key is to stay calm and let your doctor monitor them.
Don't worry too much, dear. While pregnancy hormones can sometimes make fibroids grow, they often stay the same size or even shrink in later months, and most shrink after baby is born. Just keep getting your regular scans done so your gynac can keep an eye on them.
Oh god, I would spend hours googling about fibroid sizes and complications during my pregnancy because I was so terrified. Even though they can sometimes shrink, please don't read too much online like I did and just trust whatever your gynac says at your scans!
I absolutely panicked when my doctor first mentioned a fibroid in my early scan, thinking the worst. But as my pregnancy went on, it didn't cause any issues at all, and it actually shrank post-delivery. It's much more common than we think, so please don't stress.
I am currently in my 5th month and my doctor found a small fibroid during the 12-week scan, which has got me really worried. Has anyone else gone through this and seen their fibroids actually shrink as the pregnancy progressed?
