Dealing with a fungal infection right now and its so uncomfortable. Im in my second trimester and a bit worried whether it can reach or harm the baby in any way. Planning to ask my gynac but wanted to hear ur experiences too.
They are common and treatable, nothing to panic about, but never self medicate in pregnancy. Some creams arent safe. Just see your gynac, she will prescribe the right pregnancy safe option and it clears up fine.
Vaginal fungal infections are quite common in pregnancy due to the hormones, and usually treatable, but please dont use any over the counter cream on your own. I had one and my gynac gave pregnancy safe treatment. Get it checked so it doesnt linger.
Yeast and fungal infections happen a lot in pregnancy, the discharge and itching can be uncomfortable but its manageable. The important thing is the doctor decides the treatment, not the medical store. Keep the area dry and wear cotton, that helps too.
