Second trimester here and ive been super gassy lately, and at the same time my lower back is aching. Im wondering if the two are connected or its separate. Anyone got back pain along with gas during pregnancy?
Oh the gas in pregnancy is no joke, it gave me back and side aches too. I avoided heavy oily food and ate slowly. Ajwain water in mild amounts helped, but ask your doc before anything regular.
Yes actually, bad gas and bloating can radiate to the back, I felt it both times. Digestion slows down in pregnancy so gas builds up. Small meals, walking after eating and warm water helped me a lot.
Gas can definitely cause back ache, but just be sure it's not constant or severe pain. I once mistook something serious for gas. If the back pain is intense or comes with other symptoms, check with your gynac.
