Can gestational diabetes be cured after pregnancy?

Got diagnosed with GD last week and honestly thoda scared hu. My gynac said it usually settles after delivery but i keep reading mixed things online. Did your sugar go back to normal after baccha? want to hear real experiences.

For me, it actually went away right after delivery. The hospital staff checked my sugar levels the very next day and they were back to normal, but everyone's body is different.

Oh I had GD during my pregnancy and had to monitor every single meal. Today my boy is 2 years old and my sugars have been perfectly normal since the day he was born, so please don't stress!

Please be very careful with this. It usually resolves, but you must follow whatever your gynac and endocrinologist advise because untreated GD can cause issues later on.

Like my thyroid, these hormonal things need constant tracking. Even if sugar levels drop after delivery, please do the postpartum glucose test that the doctor suggests to be 100% sure.
