I have been craving guava so badly this week, its winter season and they look so fresh. But my MIL said avoid it now, im in second trimester. Is it really not allowed or just a myth?
Totally fine, I ate guava in both my pregnancies. Its full of vitamin C and helps digestion. Just dont overdo any one fruit, keep variety. Avoid the over ripe ones.
Yes guava is lovely during pregnancy, good for fibre and helps with constipation which I struggled with. My amma always gave me fresh fruit. Just wash it well and eat fresh, and if you have any sugar concern check with doctor on quantity.
Guava is generally good but since I had gestational diabetes I had to watch portions of every fruit. So if your sugar is normal, enjoy it. If you have any sugar issue, ask your doctor how much is okay.
