Can harm baby if watching movie in theatre during pregnancy?
Friends are planning a movie and im 5 months pregnant. Worried about the loud sound and big speakers, will that affect the baby inside? matlab is the noise too much for baccha? pls tell if anyone went.
Haha, go enjoy the theater now because once the baby comes, you won't see a cinema hall for a year! It’s totally safe, just don't get startled by cheap jump scares in horror movies.
The sound is quite muffled inside the womb, so it won't hurt the baby's ears. But the loud vibrations can sometimes make the baby kick a lot if they get startled. If you feel any cramping or discomfort while sitting, just leave the hall and check with your doc.
I watched so many movies during my pregnancy and my toddler is perfectly fine and loves music now! The baby is safe inside with amniotic fluid protecting them. Just avoid eating unhygienic theater popcorn if your stomach is sensitive.
I felt so anxious during my first pregnancy and avoided theaters because I thought the loud sound would scare my baby. But later my doctor laughed and said it's totally fine. Just carry a water bottle and keep stretching your legs.
Honestly, the loud bass in theaters can sometimes make you feel more nauseous or dizzy if you are already having morning sickness. But it won't harm the baby directly as they are well cushioned. Just sit near the aisle so you can run to the washroom easily.
Don't worry, it is generally quite safe to watch a movie in a theater. Just make sure the seats are comfortable and you take regular walking breaks during the interval.
My mother-in-law was very against me going to theaters because of the crowd and loud noises. But I went anyway for a light comedy movie and just wore comfortable clothes. It's a nice way to distract your mind, just don't go for highly stressful movies.
