I used to drink green tea every evening before pregnancy. Now I am 12 weeks and missing it, but also worried about caffeine and all. Did your doctor allow green tea?
In moderation yes, but its not caffeine free so dont overdo it thinking its just herbal. I kept mine to one cup. Better to confirm the limit with ur own gynac since everyone is different.
I was a green tea person before but cut down a lot in pregnancy. It does have caffeine and can interfere with iron which we already struggle with. I had it occasionally only after checking with my doc.
My doctor said one cup a day is fine but not more, because green tea has caffeine too and also affects iron absorption. So I drank it between meals, not with food, and kept it to one small cup.
