Can having an orgasim cause bleeding during pregnancy?
Im in my 2nd trimester and noticed a little spotting after being intimate with my husband last night. Got really scared honestly. Is this something that happens to others too or should i call my gynac? pls share.
My doc explained light spotting after can happen sometimes because the cervix is more sensitive and has extra blood flow in pregnancy, usually harmless in a normal pregnancy. But she said any bleeding more than light spotting, or with cramps, should be reported. So mention it to your gynac to be safe.
In my pregnancy I was told to avoid that altogether because of a sensitive placenta, and any bleeding always got reported. So it really depends on your situation. If you notice bleeding, please call your gynac rather than waiting.
A small amount of spotting can occasionally happen and is often harmless in a healthy pregnancy. But bleeding is one of those things you shouldnt guess about. Best to note it and check with your doctor for peace of mind.
