Can having sex after ovulation result in pregnancy?

We are trying since few months and i always get confused about the timing. This cycle we were together a day or two after i think i ovulated. Is there still a chance? curious what others know.

Chances reduce a lot once ovulation is over, but the egg can survive a day or so. With my second one I actually got pregnant on what I thought was a late day. So dont assume its impossible, but its less likely than before ovulation.

My gynac explained the egg lives only 12 to 24 hours after release. So if you had sex right after, theres a small window, but the fertile days are really the few days before. She told me to track with an ovulation kit for accuracy.

I used Flo and it shows the egg window closing quickly after ovulation. After that the app marks low fertility. Honestly tracking made it so much clearer for me.
