My beta hcg went up nicely first but the last value confused me, it didnt rise as much as i expected. Im very early, like 5 weeks. Now im anxious whether it can dip and then climb again or if thats a bad sign. pls share if anyone had ups and downs.
My gynac told me hCG normally rises fast then plateaus around 8-11 weeks before slowly coming down later, which is normal. A single value means little, they look at the trend over 48 hours. If you've seen a drop, ask for a repeat test and let them guide you.
I stared at my beta hCG numbers like a hawk during my IVF, every single one. Generally they rise in the early weeks, and small variations in timing or lab can happen. But a real drop is something only your doctor should explain, please go through them, sending you calm thoughts.
Oh i would have lost sleep over this, i overthought every number in my pregnancy. The lab timing and even different labs can make it look weird. Please just call your doctor instead of googling at 2am like i used to, they'll calm you down.
In a healthy early pregnancy hCG should mostly keep rising, doubling every couple days. A drop can sometimes be a concern so please dont read this yourself, let your doctor interpret the repeat blood test. I had fluctuating numbers and the doc monitored me closely, so trust them with this one.
Try not to spiral over the numbers, sweetheart. Early hCG usually climbs, but only the doctor watching the pattern can tell you what yours means. Take the repeat test they suggest and breathe in the meantime.
