Can hcg levels drop and still have a viable pregnancy?
My beta hcg was lower in the second test compared to first and im honestly panicking. Im only about 5 weeks. Has anyone had their levels dip and still everything turned out fine? im going back to my doctor but cant stop overthinking.
Mine fluctuated and I was terrified, but my doctor said one reading isnt the full picture. A drop generally is a concern though, so this really needs your gynac to track repeat levels. Please get seen rather than worry at home.

I know how scary those numbers feel, I checked mine constantly during IVF. Usually a real drop is worrying, but labs and timing can vary, so please dont conclude anything yourself. Let your doctor interpret the trend and a scan, that is what truly matters. Sending you strength.
My doctor explained hCG should roughly double in early days and a fall usually isnt a good sign, but they look at the whole pattern plus a scan. One value alone doesnt decide. Definitely get the repeat test and ask her directly.
