Can heartburn cause shortness of breath in pregnancy?
Third trimester here and i get this burning in my chest, and right after that i feel like i cant breathe properly. Is the breathlessness connected to the heartburn or are they two separate things? I plan to mention it to my doc but wanted to hear ur experiences first.

For me heartburn definitely added to that breathless feeling, especially after meals. I kept portions small and ate slow, that eased it. Just keep an eye, anything that feels too much let your doctor know rather than guessing.
Carrying twins my heartburn was next level and yes I felt breathless too, no room left inside haha. As the baby grows it pushes everything up. Small frequent meals and not lying flat helped me a lot.
Mild breathlessness with heartburn can be normal as baby grows, but I'll be honest, sudden severe breathlessness, chest pain or swelling should never be ignored, please call your gynac for that. Don't always blame it on acidity.
Yes the acidity and the growing uterus pressing up can both make you feel short of breath, very common in later months. Eat smaller meals, avoid spicy and don't lie down right after eating. But if breathlessness is sudden or severe, get it checked, don't assume it's only heartburn.
