Can heavy exercise be done during first week of pregnancy?
I do gym regularly and lift decent weights. Just got a faint positive and not sure if i should stop the heavy stuff already in the first week itself. Anyone continued workouts early on?
Bilkul nahi, in early pregnancy, my mother-in-law strictly warned me against lifting heavy things or doing strenuous work. It's better to stick to light walks and let the baby implant safely.
Haha, no need to be a gym superhero right now! Your body is already doing the heavy work of growing a human. Stick to light walks and leave the heavy lifting for later.
Our elders always say to take it very easy in the first few weeks. My doctor also advised avoiding heavy weight-lifting or high-impact jumping during the first trimester. Better to be safe and stick to simple stretches.
Medical research shows that high-intensity workouts or lifting heavy weights during early pregnancy can sometimes increase risks if your body isn't used to it. My doctor advised keeping heart rate under moderate limits. Always consult your gynac before continuing any intense fitness routine.
