I have a small hernia issue from before and now im pregnant. Just wondering if the normal pregnancy scans will show anything about it or not. Will ask my doc also but thought of asking here first.
Actually yaar, normal obstetric scans don't automatically look for hernias unless you tell them you have pain or a bulge. Just talk to the radiologist before they start the scan so they can check that area specifically.
For normal aches we can do warm compresses, but for something like a hernia, home remedies won't work. If you suspect you have one, please show it to your doctor. They can check it during your scan or clinical examination.
Haan na, pregnancy scan is mostly for baby's growth but if we tell the doctor about any pain, they check properly. Mere friend ko umbilical hernia detect hua tha scan me. Do consult your doctor once.
Hey, don't stress too much about this! Regular pregnancy ultrasounds are mainly for checking the baby, but if you have a visible bulge or pain, the doctor can easily check it or do a specific scan. Just mention it to your gynac during your next visit.
Detecting a hernia during pregnancy requires proper medical evaluation. Please do not ignore any swelling or pain in your abdomen or groin. Let your gynecologist know immediately so they can guide you safely.
If you need a separate scan for hernia, it might add to your medical bills, so ask your gynac if it can be checked in the routine anomaly scan itself. It is better to plan these tests together to save extra clinic visits and charges.
