Bit of a silly question maybe but i did a blood test recently that included hiv screening and now im confused. Does that kind of test tell anything about pregnancy or are they totally separate things?
No these are totally different tests yaar. HIV test checks for the virus, it cannot tell you anything about pregnancy. You need a urine or blood pregnancy test for that, the beta hCG one.
These two have nothing to do with each other. If you want to know about pregnancy, the hCG urine or blood test is what you need. The HIV report wont say a thing about it.
They are unrelated tests, an HIV test wont confirm or rule out pregnancy at all. For pregnancy you do a home urine test or get a beta hCG blood test. Ask your doctor if confused.
No beta, those check completely different things. Just get a proper pregnancy test done, a simple home kit works, or a blood test at the lab for surety.
