Can home pregnancy test give false positive?

I got positive on one kit and then the second kit was very faint, so now I am confused. Period is late but I dont want to celebrate too early. Did anyone get false positive at home?

Rarely yes, but mostly a positive is real. False negatives happen more if u test too early. Read the test in the time window only, and confirm with a blood test and gynac visit.

False positives are rare, my doctor said a positive line is usually genuine. Sometimes evaporation lines confuse people if u read it too late. To be sure she suggested a blood test, that settles it.

It can happen rarely, certain medicines or conditions can affect it. With my PCOS history I didnt fully trust just one strip, I got a blood test to be sure. Better to confirm properly.

Its quite rare yaar, dont stress over the strip too much. Just do a blood test to be 100 percent sure and stop staring at the line haha.
