My BP has been running high since a few weeks and now i noticed some spotting today. Im a little scared honestly and have already messaged my gynac to see her tomorrow. Just wanted to know if the two can be connected, anyone experienced this?
My doc said high BP itself is serious and in some cases it links to placenta problems which can cause bleeding. But bleeding can have many causes. The point is both high BP and bleeding need to be checked by your gynac quickly, not guessed at home.
Please dont take any bleeding in pregnancy lightly, especially with high BP. I had BP issues and my doctor monitored me very closely. If you are bleeding right now, call your gynac or go in today, dont wait for opinions online.
I had a different condition but the lesson was the same, regular BP checks and follow ups matter so much. Anything like bleeding on top of high BP should be reported to your doctor right away. Keep your readings noted to show them.
Beta, dont panic but dont sit on it either. High BP in pregnancy is watched carefully for a reason. Ring your gynac, tell them about the bleeding and BP both, and follow what they say.
Yes uncontrolled hypertension can be linked to certain complications in pregnancy, so this is genuinely a doctor matter. If you are getting bleeding along with high BP, headache or swelling, please get checked urgently. Better safe.
